Workshop 21st June with Judy Brownlie

We have a workshop coming up on the 21st of June with Judy Brownlie and we have some spaces left.

Full Day Workshop with Judy Brownlie - Still Life in Oils
 
When: Saturday 21st June

Where: Yarramundi Community Centre, 54 Thornbill Way, Nepean Park Estate, Yarramundi

Time: 9.30am - 4pm

Cost: $45 for MTAS members and $50 for Non-members

Morning Tea is provided, Bring your own lunch

Judy is a painter in Oil, Pastel, Watercolour and Mixed Media. She especially enjoys painting plein air, portraits, still life and the never ending delights in nature. Judy's work is primarily done at Le nid Studio which is set in a large garden at her home.

A well known figure in the art scene of the Hawkesbury as well as having quite a number of accolades further afield. Judy is a member of the prestigious Royal Art Society.

Come along and learn from a master with the oils. If you don't have oil paint acrylics are also ok. Judy will be setting up a still life for each person attending so that each painting will be different.

Monthly Meeting Tuesday June 10th - Josephine Blue 'Photography & Camera Techniques'

This month we are delighted to welcome Josephine Blue, a well known artist and photographer in the Hawkesbury to our Monthly Meeting for June Tuesday the 10th at the Stans Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre, George St, Windsor - 7.30pm

Josephine will be talking to us about Camera Techniques and Photography in relation to Art
  • Camera terminology and what all the numbers mean such as f/stops, shutter speed, ISO, WB, +/- , VR, TV, AV, MF, AF …
  • How a camera's settings affect the final image in terms of what is in focus
  • Why "auto" isn't always the best option
  • Everyone's camera may be different, but they all have similar functions
  • People are invited to bring their own camera and learn something about it to take better photos
  • Everyone has a different reason for taking photos, and artists use photos as a tool for memory, for reference, or inspiration for an artwork
