MTAS Monthly Meeting Tuesday 11th November & Acrylics Demonstration

Demonstration of New Acrylic Products
11th of November

On November 11th, there will be a hands on demonstration of exciting new acrylic paints and mediums.
Showing how they can be used alone or in mixed media works.

Those attending the night will be invited to try them out and experiment. The newly developed acrylic paints have qualities that artists have been wishing for such as thick buttery texture and no colour shift! Used with texture mediums, collage and other mixed media, exotic rich surfaces can be created. Subtle delicate results can also be achieved.

This is a chance to try out these new materials and discover the possibilities of these modern developments in artists quality paints.

Acrylic paints have opened the door to many new ways artists can express their creative vision.
Both Members and Non Members are welcome to join us for our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

7.30pm Tuesday 11th November at the Stan Stevens Studio, Windsor Library, Deerubbin Centre, George St, Windsor (Please arrange to park outside of Library due to car park early closure)

Entry is $5 for MTAS members and visitors (includes supper) For Enquiries phone Sharron on 02 4572 5580 or www.mtas.com.au

Jody is best known for her bold, expressive urban landscapes, particularly of industrial and construction sites and older buildings, exploring themes of impermanence, loss and erasure. She favours the directness of plein air sketching as the basis for work in the studio. Jody has been selected twice for the Kedumba Drawing Collection and as a finalist in several drawing awards including the Dobell and Adelaide Perry. Solo exhibitions in 2011 and 2013 focused on urban and industrial landscapes but there is recurring interest in portraiture and animal studies.
