Macquarie Towns Arts Society are proud to announce the March Art Demonstration meeting is with Frank Hodgert.
Frank
Hodgert, Castlereigh impressionist is an award winning artist with 10
years experience in tutoring. He teaches most mediums, oils,
watercolour, acrylics etc and covers a broad palette of local landmarks
with his sought-after paintings. Hodgert has painted “all his life”, but
began taking it seriously only 10 years ago, shortly before retiring.
He paints landscapes and portraits using oil and watercolours with a
simple palette of colours. He needs only a few hours to create them. “I
only paint with about six colours,” he said. Hodgert said his work was
stylistically linked to traditional impressionism, a trend popularised
by Parisian painters in the late 19th century.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a very special evening with
Frank demonstrating as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with
like-minded art enthusiasts.
