"The Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop  (H.C.A.W.), was founded by Kevin Oxley in the late 70's. An amazingly talented and hard working young man who had a vision of promoting the Arts in the Hawkesbury, he acquired the use of some old buildings at the old Ag.College (now UWS), the Old Wool classing & Piggery buildings still in use by H.C.A.W. today. Since then there have been many prominent artists who have moved through this organisation and established themselves in the wider arts field.

The HCAW is well known for providing tuition for the handicaped, school children, retirees and members of the local community and is run by voluntees as a not-for-profit organisation. Regular workshops are held in Drawing, Painting, Pottery and other art forms.

The HCAW welcomes you to their annual art exhibition."

Reminder: MTAS Sept 10th Monthly Meeting AGM & Using Social Media for your Art!

Hello Members,
Our next Arts Society Meeting is coming up on Tuesday Sept 10th.
We are welcoming our members Mellissa Read Devine & Julie Simmons to talk about “Using Social Media to Display & Sell your art”. These lovely ladies, as successful artists, will have some peices of Gold to relay to us all. They will have a presentation and question time as well. For those of you who are not as commercial with your art it will still be a great learning experience anyway to see how the online world can be a great medium for showing off your artworks :)

This will follow our AGM held at 7.30pm where WE NEED YOU!!
Our society needs volunteers to keep us running. This year Narelle Ward, who has done a brilliant job for the past 3 years, will not be able to continue in the position of President and our current committee members are already stretched in what they are doing right now.. so if any of you or your friends may be able to take on this role or any of the others we have, please consider the position as we all know that many hands make light work!
We want our Arts Society to continue well into the future with many successful artistic endeavours to come.
We will have the following roles to fill:
(1)   President
(2)   Vice President (1)
(3)   Vice President (2)
(4)   Secretary
(5)   Assistant Secretary
(6)   Treasurer
(7)   Assistant Treasurer
